Frequently Asked Questions.....

  • How much of the ashes does each piece of jewellery need?

Each piece only requires a pinch of the ashes.

I suggest sending one spoonful, most of which is then returned to you along with your finished piece.

  • Can I have the ashes of a loved person or a beloved pet in my piece?

Yes, it is possible to have either. The process is exactly the same.

  • Can you combine the ashes of different people or pets in one piece?

Yes, it is perfectly possible to combine the ashes of two different loved ones within a piece.

Just mention that you wish to do this upon ordering, and more pouches will be sent to you in the instruction pack so the ashes can be kept separately.

Then a pinch of each will be combined in the final piece.

  • How do I get the ashes to you?

When an order is placed, we send you out a pack with instructions of how to send some of the ashes to us. This includes a labelled, sealable pouch to put them in and an addressed envelope for their return. Please note that you need to provide postage.

When an order is placed from overseas, we ask you to send the ashes to us direct. Instructions for which, will be sent upon ordering.

  • What metal is my jewellery made from and will my piece be hallmarked?

All pieces are currently made from sterling silver. Pieces that weigh over 7.78g legally require hallmarking.

Any pieces that weigh over this (usually bangles and heavier pendants) will be sent away to the British Assay Office to be hallmarked.

The cost of this is included in the price of the jewellery. If you would like a hallmark on any piece of jewellery that can be arranged, for the extra cost of the hallmarking service.

  • How long will my order take?

Please allow 2-3 weeks for your piece to be made. Most pieces are turned around in 2 weeks, once I have receipt of the ashes.

If you have a specific date you need your piece by, please mention this as your order may be able to be prioritised. Pieces that need sending away for hallmarking will take longer. Times taken for this vary depending on how busy the assay office is.

  • Can I order from overseas?

Yes, orders can be shipped overseas. For orders outside of the UK we ask that the ashes are sent direct, rather than an instruction pack being sent out, to cut down on time.

The amount of time it takes to send back to you varies depending on your countries postal system. All items are sent tracked delivery.

  • How do I know what size to order?

Bangles and bracelets are made to measure. Instructions for how to provide bangle and bracelets measurements will be

given upon ordering. Rings are also made to order. If you are unsure of your ring size, or wish to double check, measurers can be purchased via the website for a small cost.

  • Can I see samples of the glass colours?

If you are UK based, you can choose up to 3 colour samples to be sent to you free of charge. Just complete the contact form to request them.
