The Forgetmenot Glass UK

Story

making ashes jewellery

I have worked with glass for many years. A few years back, I was approached by a friend who wanted a glass jewellery keepsake for her dads ashes. We worked together to find a ring design and glass colour of her choice, and together came up with a beautiful piece . A subsequent spell working with a local jeweller, developed my experience of encasing ashes into glass, and led me to set up 'Forgetmenot glass UK'.

I love being able to use my experience of working with glass & silver, to create an affordable memorial that gives comfort to someone. People & animals are central to our lives and glass memorial jewellery is a lovely way of keeping your lost loved one by your side. When I make a piece using a beloved pets ashes, a meal is also donated by Forgetmenot glass, to my local animal shelter.

I work from my home studio, enabling me to keep costs down. Each piece is individually handcrafted using traditional techniques. New pieces and collections are being designed all the time. If you have a specific design in mind, please feel free to contact me to see what might be possible. Your ashes will be treated with the respect your loved one deserves. As each piece requries only a small amount of ash, any that is unused will be returned to you with your finished piece.
